Czech Pro Team athlete Sandra Schützová is enjoying a remarkable Ski Classics season, coming very close to podium finishes on several occasions. In addition, a significant dream will come true for her in February, when she will compete at her first Olympic Games. But it does not come without sacrifice.
Last season, the Czech Pro Team athlete tried to break into the top ranks but always seemed to be missing something. Last weekend, however, she delivered her best career result, and this winter she could become a contender for podium finishes. What lies behind her improved performances, and what are her plans?
She is going all in on Ski Classics and has impressed during the roller ski season for the Norwegian Pro Team, Team Kaffebryggeriet DRIV. But the Czech veteran also has another goal this winter.
A fall during a race, an unfinished season that started well, waiting for surgery, and a slow return to training. The top Czech Pro Team athlete envisioned this year very differently. However, her current form doesn’t look bad, and more importantly, Sandra Schützová is looking forward to a new season with a new Pro Team.
