This Pro Team is the only Estonian squad in the Ski Classics Pro Tour series. Team Fikala Evecon, the former Team Nordic Jobs Worldwide that secured the 31st position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV is now looking forward to the upcoming winter season.

Team Fikala Evecon counts on local power, as only Estonian skiers are in its ranks. As the Pro Team embraces its new identity, the squad keeps its quest to make Estonian skiing an even greater force to be reckoned with.

For the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV, the team is bringing six Pro Team athletes, four men and two women: Mattis Jaama (1992), Katlin Kukk (2003), Henri Roos (1998), Uku Leipalu (2002), Kaspar Kaasla (1994), and Teesi Tuul (1999).

“This season, we have moved forward with a new name and core. We are building an endurance sports community that would support the Pro Team. We believe this wide approach will help us develop further and bring Ski Classics closer to everyone. Fikala is a community that offers emotion, valuable knowledge, and pleasant company to both the beginner sports lover and the experienced fitness enthusiast,” says Pro Team Director Mart Kevin Põlluste, and adds:

“Our Pro Team roster is relatively young, and we strive to give Estonian skiers a chance to compete at the highest level in cross-country skiing. Having all been involved in competitive sports, we know exactly how difficult it is to continue skiing professionally after high school. Our wish is to create an additional outlet for young athletes engaged in skiing.”

Team Fikala Evecon’s key strength is clear: “Our community and partners – with them, we are stronger, and that thrives the team to achieve their goals. And even though we are a small team, we have a strong organization and knowledge base regarding what it takes to get good results. We are driven and hungry for more!”

The Pro Team Director outlines their goals for Ski Classics Season XV: “Our goal is to have stable results and perform better along the season. Since we have again new names on the roster, then we are still giving them a chance to adjust to the long-distance skiing scene without any pressure in terms of results,” and elaborates on the main goal for the season:

“Our primary goal is an individual top 10 finish in any of the Grand Classics, but our biggest aim is, of course, Vasaloppet. But most importantly, we want to leave a mark and to be seen. We hope to bring to all fans and followers of Ski Classics a cool insight into a smaller team. And, of course, the goal is to have fun!”
