The Ski Classics Challengers event Alliansloppet, a 48km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, took place today in Trollhättan, Sweden. Edvin Anger, Sweden, showed his top form and won the men’s race.

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes and World Cup skiers matched their skills in a 48km long-distance race today in Trollhättan, Sweden. After a rainy day, the Ski Classics Challengers Alliansloppet event saw Edvin Anger, Sweden, winning the race with a solid duo breakaway and a sprint to the finish line.

Alliansloppet – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, the winner was Edvin Anger. From the second of three laps, Edvin Anger and Andrew Musgrave broke away from the leading group of contenders and never looked back. At the end, Anger was the fastest and won the race with a powerful sprint and a time of 1:44:45.9. 

Andrew Musgrave, Team Aker Dæhlie, finished in second place, 0.1 seconds behind, followed by Mathias Aas Rolid, Team Ragde Charge, 2:08.9 back, and completing the podium in the third position.

Alliansloppet – Ski Classics Challengers

Alliansloppet is the world’s biggest roller ski event, gathering around 1300 participants yearly. The race takes place in Trollhättan, Sweden, a well-known city for its impressive waterfalls. The mythic 16km loop, roller skied three times, led the skiers across appealing landscapes.

As the 48km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
