La Venosta ITT, the fourth Ski Classics event of Season XV, took place today in Val Venosta, Italy. Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, and Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, were the fastest in the 10-kilometer-long race, proving their form throughout the entire race and abilities in individual competitions. 

La Venosta ITT – Individual Time Trial in Val Venosta, Italy, saw Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, and Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, winning the fourth Ski Classics event of Season XV.

A fierce battle between Pro Team athletes marked the 10-kilometer race organized as a time trial with individual starts. The gap between the skiers was 1 minute, with the women starting from 8:00 CET and the men from 9:30 CET. 

LA VENOSTA ITT – WOMEN’S RACE

In the women’s competition, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, crushed today’s Individual Time Trial competition. It was her first individual win this season.

Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, showed a strong performance throughout the race and at the 2.5km split was already leading, 6.1 seconds ahead of Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, and Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, 37.7 seconds back. 

At the 6.8km split, Dahl extended her lead and was 13.0 seconds ahead of Fleten in second place, and 1:23.7 ahead of Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus, now in third place. 

At the finish, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, won with a solid margin of 35.1 seconds over Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, who finished in a solid second place. Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus, had an impressive race and finished third, 1:37.9 behind the winner and her first Ski Classic Pro Tour podium.

Karolina Hedentrström, Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in the 4^th position, 2:12.6 back, and Frida Erkers, Team Eksjöhus, ended up in the 5^th place, 2:26.0 behind.

LA VENOSTA ITT – MEN’S RACE

In the men’s field, Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, was the fastest in today’s race and proved his abilities in all kinds of races, from mass-start long-distance races to shorter events and individual starts. 

At the 2.5km split mark, Thomas Ødegaarden, Team Eksjöhus, had a tight fight with Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, and Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus. Ødegaarden was only 5.0 seconds ahead of Paus and 14.6 seconds ahead of Jutterström.

Halfway through the race, at the 6.8km split mark, Thomas Ødegaarden was still in the lead, but Paus reduced the deficit to only 3.5 seconds. The same goes for Jutterström, closing the time difference to only 3.7 seconds behind the leader.

At the finish, Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, reversed the deficit and won with a slim margin and a total time of 28:27.6. With the result, Paus had his first-ever Ski Classics Pro Tour win.

Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus, finished in second place, 5.9 seconds back, leaving Thomas Ødegaarden, Team Eksjöhus, in third place and 10 seconds behind the winner.

CURRENT STANDINGS SKI CLASSICS COMPETITIONS

After La Venosta ITT, Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, and Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, lead the Champion Bib Competition. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, and Alfred Buskqvist, Team Ramudden, are carrying the Green bib of the Sprint Competition.  

Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, and Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, carry the bib for the Climb Competition. The Pink Bib for the best Youth rests on Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus.

Team Eksjöhus is the best Pro Team after La Venosta ITT.
