Tour de France stage 4 saw Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) winning the 171.5km race ahead of Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Christophe Laporte (Jumbo-Visma).

Today, Stage 5 starts in Lille Métropole and covers 157km before finishing in Arenberg Porte du Hainaut.

“Think how many of us have come to love pavé. The surface that often creates chaos in the competitions and which has mainly become known thanks to Paris-Roubaix. And of course, we’re back on those roads north of Paris. This is definitely a key stage. Of course, you do not win the Tour de France on this route, but unfortunately for one or more of the pre-favorites, this will be the stage that causes them to lose ground, perhaps too much or even be forced to abandon the Tour. Paved roads are pretty plentiful in this region, so only a few parts of the Paris-Roubaix sections will be ridden on this stage. But still, some 20 kilometers of pavé and finish in Arenberg,” says Vacchi.

The broadcast starts on Eurosport at 13:25. Neutral starts at 13:35. Expected arrival at 17:20.
