Klæbo’s Plan For The National Team Training Camp
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, recovering from a hamstring injury, plans to participate in only a couple of training sessions at the Norwegian national team training camp that starts today.
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) is recovering from an injury.
Klæbo’s hamstring injury diagnosed in July is predicted to take about 12 weeks to heal. The Norwegian cross-country skiing star is gradually and cautiously returning to training.
The Norwegian national team training camp starts today in Steinkjer, Norway. Still, according to the Norwegian Adresseavisen, Klæbo will participate in two training sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Klæbo organized his training camp plan for the season and the camp starting today was one of the few national team camps in which Klæbo was supposed to participate. The national team does not have any altitude training camp in the program, while Klæbo instead wants to approach the next Olympics through an extensive altitude camp on his own.
Klæbo planned to go to a camp in the United States at the end of August, but it is still uncertain whether the camp will take place as planned. Klæbo’s participation in next week’s Toppidrettsveka is also not confirmed yet.
