CHECK COMPETITIONS
Klæbo Ready For Toppidrettsveka
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo has recovered well from the hamstring injury diagnosed in July and plans to compete this week in Toppidrettsveka.
When Klæbo’s hamstring injury was diagnosed, it was predicted that a full recovery could take up to three months. Klæbo focused on alternative training at the end of July and only participated in part of the training at last week’s Norwegian national team training camp.
However, the situation now looks good, and Klæbo has decided to participate this week in Thursday’s 54km classic race and the 15km freestyle race on Saturday.
“I am looking forward to going to competitions again. The competitions are an important part of the training in the summer, and the fact that it takes place in the home area in Trøndelag is extra fun,” says Klæbo to the Norwegian tabloid VG.
In addition to the Norwegians, Toppidrettsveka also features Iivo Niskanen, Frida Karlsson, Maja Dahlqvist, the French national team, and national team skiers from Germany and the United States. Petter Northug, who aims to start at the Ski Classics series, also brings color to the competitions.
