Jessie Diggins Wins The 20km Race At The World Cup In Davos

Jessie Diggins secured first place in the women’s 20km individual start race in freestyle technique for the United States of America at Switzerland’s Davos Cross-Country Skiing World Cup. Results from the women’s 20km skate race.

Jessie Diggins took home first place today at the Davos World Cup with a total time of 48:43.2. Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, from Norway, finished in second place, 5.5 seconds behind the winner.

Rosie Brennan, also from the USA, completed the podium in third place, 11.2 seconds back. 

Tiril Udnes Weng and Anne Kjersti Kalvå, from Norway, round off the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

Coming right from the Ski Classics Pro Tour event La Venosta Criterium yesterday, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, Jenny Larsson, Team Ragde Charge, and Frida Erkers, Team Eksjöhus, showed good performances at the World Cup.

New this season is the exact race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.

The World Cup continues with Tour de Ski from December 31 to January 8.
