Calle Halfvarsson Becomes A Father

by Leandro Lutz • 25.06.2022
Calle Halfvarsson and Isabell Olsson became parents for the first time on June 23.

“June 23 at 23:23, he came to the world, Calle Junior. A real midsummer kid,” writes Halfvarsson on his Instagram account and continues:

“Incredibly impressed by mother Isabell how strongly she went through the birth without complications. The absolute coolest thing I’ve been through and a memory for life.”

The Swedish national team veteran has struggled to find top form, and the 2022 Olympics were not his best highlight, with a 26th place in the 30km Skiathlon race being his best result. However, Halfvarsson ended last season with a victory in the mixed team relay during the World Cup final in Falun on March 12. It was his first World Cup victory in over five years. The last time was in December 2016.

Now, Halfvarsson continues his career and looks forward to the 2027 World Championships at home in Falun, Sweden.
