This Norwegian university based Pro Team has young athletes who are all under 26 at press time. The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim started their cross-country ski program for students in 1910, and in 2018, the first ever university Pro Team in Visma Ski Classics was established.
Of these young skiers, Olaf Talmo is the most recognizable name in Visma Ski Classics last season as he did four races, and his 56th place at Årefjällsloppet was the best result. Hans Petter Rolke completed Vasaloppet as the 75th fastest skier last winter while his teammate and the captain Matias Sølvsberg Noren finished 98th.
The remaining four athletes in the team do not have many merits to show for as they have not participated in any Pro Tour events nor have any FIS ranking points. Season XII offers them an ample platform to make a name for themselves.
