Ledx Lights was founded in 2009 by Anders Johansson, an orienteer from Borås, Sweden. Right from the start, the headlamps have been manufactured in Borås. And a common feature of all the lights is that they have a three-year guarantee.

“In recent years, in parallel with orienteering, we have also focused on, for example, cross-country skiing. One of the parts that make us stand out is that we have three different lamp models, but you can then ‘build’ the system you want based on the requirements and wishes you have. What is common and has been our signature since the beginning is the light image that is made to feel like daylight,” says Viktoria Bergsman, Business Development Manager at Ledx.

So, which headlamps are in the range?

Snok 2000 X-pand

“Snok is our all-on-head lamp. This means you have the battery on your head, but it is also possible to have it in a jacket or a backpack/liquid belt if you wish. Snok is a perfect headlamp for all sports, adventures, everyday activities, or jobs requiring a smaller and lighter lamp, but the demand for good light is still great. Through our wide and fine light image, you can see well both to the sides, and you do not have to tilt your head to keep track of what it looks like where you put your feet,” says Bergsman.

Mamba X-pand G4

The Mamba X-pand G4 is a new headlamp on the market. It was released for sale in August but has already been appreciated.

Mamba has just become an ISPO Awards winner. This is an award given to products that, in one way or another, stand out in the sports segment.

“We are incredibly proud of the Mamba headlamp. The lamp has an Xpand reflector that spreads the light in a fantastic way. The light spreads 160 degrees to the sides and also opens up downwards, which makes it feel like working out during the day. Here, you can choose whether you want the battery in a battery harness/liquid backpack or whether you use the ‘Snok battery’ as an all-on-head solution,” says Bergsman.

Cobra X-pand G4

“The Cobra is our 7000 lumens lamp. It is built on the same platform as Mamba but has even more brightness and an even wider light pattern because it is more powerful. Again, you can choose different batteries. With the largest battery, you have two hours of battery life at maximum power,” says Bergsman and continues:

“Battery times vary depending on which lamp and battery you choose. At maximum power, it’s up to 2 hours of battery life, but you can easily adjust the light on the lamp and get up to 85 hours of battery life. In addition, there is a backup mode on the battery so you can get home even if the battery life is ‘out.’”

Are you keen to update your “old Ledx headlamp”?

“We have a team at the factory that services and renovates old lamps. For example, we can bring in a ten-year-old lamp with a cracked glass and help fix it for a few dollars. And if you have an old Ledx lamp and want to buy a new one, we have a renewal system where you bring it in and get a discount on a new lamp. Then we fix the old lamp and sell it on our website as a renewal,” says Bergsman.
