Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm: Training for the big cross-country skiing festival on January 25th can begin
It is a rarity that there are 20 kilometers of cross-country ski trails available on the Seiser Alm at the beginning of December. A rarity that will make all cross-country skiing enthusiasts extremely happy – especially those endurance athletes who will take part in the Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm on Thursday, January 25, 2024. This gives them the opportunity to prepare well on site and on some parts of the race track for the renowned South Tyrolean cross-country skiing classic, which will be held for the 16th time in just over a month and a half.
Cross-country skiers traditionally have two different routes with different distances to choose from at the Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm. The long route involves completing 30 kilometers. It leads from the start in Compatsch out to Wolfsbühl, back to Ritsch and from there via Gold Knopf and Spitzbühl towards Großes Moos, where the cross-country skiers take the turn-off shortly before the final part towards the finish in Compatsch. The second route is half as long at 15 kilometers. The start here is also in Compatsch and the first 12 kilometers are identical to the longer distance. The special thing about the Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is that the routes are covered using the classic technique under the full moon and in the light of over 1000 torches.

Reduced registration fee until January 7, 2024.
Registration for the 16th Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is possible on the official website www.moonlightclassic.info. If you register by January 7, 2024, the entry fee is reduced. It is currently 60 euros for the 30 km route and 55 euros for the shorter distance of 15 kilometers.
