Wadköpingsloppet Challengers Takes Place on Sunday

by Leandro Lutz • 02.02.2022
The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Wadköpingsloppet is a 40km long-distance race in classic technique this Sunday, February 6, in Örebro, Sweden.

Wadköpingsloppet has long-lasting traditions but developed into a modern classic race over the past years. The event is a perfect race for those who want to prepare for Vasaloppet, as the race is an official seeding event for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan.

The cross-country skiing arena is located in Ånnaboda, 15km outside Örebro, easily accessed from most mid-Sweden places. The ‘original’ track runs in a scenic undulating forest landscape. There are also several options if needed to adapt to weather conditions.

According to the Organizing Committee, “due to severe weather conditions, the competition will be settled on artificial snow. The course is in almost perfect condition, and we welcome all cross-country skiers to Wadköpingsloppet this Sunday,” says Anders Ericsson, Race Director.
