Tønseth and Kalvå Winners of Svalbard Skimaraton 2022

The long-distance skiing race Svalbard Skimaraton took place last weekend in Svalbard-Longyearbyen, Norway. Didrik Tønseth and Anne Kjersti Kalvå were the winners.

Svalbard Skimaraton took place last weekend in Norway with a 42km long-distance skiing race and approximately 800 participants for the 28th time.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Didrik Tønseth, Team Engcon/Normilk, in a total time of 2:07:31.0, followed by Emil Iversen, IL Varden Meråker/Normilk, 1:24.0 back. Anders Boström, PWT Travel Sweden, completed the podium in the third position, more than 9 minutes behind.

In the women’s race, Anne Kjersti Kalvå, Lundamo IL/Normilk, won in a total time of 2:29:02.0, ahead of Mona Nilsson, 1Life IF, 29:31 back. Karianne Saue, Lyn Ski, 32:15 back, completed the podium in third place.
