Team Ramudden with a new project
The idea has been around for several years, but it is now clear that Team Ramudden will have a national long-distance team.

“The interest has been very high,” says Pro Team Director Lina Korsgren.
Team Ramudden had a solid season in Ski Classics. Among other results are Alfred Buskqvist and Amund Riege’s overall victories in the Sprint and Youth bibs, respectively. Looking at individual races, Emilie Fleten’s win at Vasaloppet is, without a doubt, difficult to overcome.
A couple of weeks ago, Team Ramudden released the team lineup for next winter, and it will look exactly like last season.

And now, there will be an interesting new project for Team Ramudden:
“We will launch a ‘Swedish team.’ We have received a lot of applications from skiers aged 19-23, and we want to capture that interest and really make sure to invest in those skiers. It feels great that the interest in long races and skiing for us is so great,” says Pro Team Director Lina Korsgren.
Which skiers will be part of the team will be official in a few weeks, but the squad is complete and will consist of seven athletes. Five women and two men:
“We see in Ski Classics that the women’s field is smaller. If we look at our team, we are ‘only’ two women (Emilie Fleten and Ida Palmberg); the reason why we are now bringing in more girls is that we hope that they will eventually step up in our Ski Classics team,” says Korsgren.
Which competitions will the team start?
“The focus is on the national long-distance cup (157 XCC Originals – which last season consisted of six long-distance races in Sweden). I think gaining experience on the long races in Sweden before you step out and start the long races in Ski Classics is very valuable,” concludes Korsgren.
