Ski Team Göhlins – Pro Team Presentation Season XIV

by Teemu Virtanen • 14.11.2022
This Swedish Pro Team counts on their youthful vigor. This team has five skiers; the oldest is only 24, and the youngest will turn 22 in November.

Simon Jonsson, the one with the most years behind him, participated in two Pro Tour races last winter, Engadin La Diagonela and Marcialonga, and finished 86th and 160th, respectively. He also finished 57th in the 30 km skating race at the Swedish National Championships.

Elias Anderson was more active than his teammate as he finished four Pro Tour events, and his worst result was 96th at Vasaloppet and his best 57th at Tartu Maraton. In the 30 km National Championship race, he was one place lower than Simon, but he finished 38th in the 50 km classic race.

Filip Rosjö also managed to get four Pro Tour events with similar results as Elias. His best race was Tartu Maraton, where he finished 49th, and at Vasaloppet, he was a bit behind Elias as he let 120 skiers reach Mora before him. He performed very well at the 50 km National Championship race by being 22nd.

Hilda Löf completed five Pro Tour events, of which Tartu Maraton’s 29th place was her best. She still has a little way to go before she can become a solid top-30 skier in Ski Classics. Hanna Lodin, the other woman on the team, was a top-30 finisher at the Swedish National Championships in 2021, but last winter, she took part in two Pro Tour races without finishing them.

These young athletes have many more years left to hone their skills and take steps toward eminence. They will score a few points in the upcoming season, but they will certainly gain more experience and stamina. Maybe, in the years to come, we will hear more about their adventures in the world of long-distance skiing.
