Ski Classics Standings After Vasaloppet – Persson Secures Overall and Dahl Again In Yellow

Vasaloppet marked the eleventh Ski Classics Pro Tour event and the third Grand Classics Season XIV. After the weekend, these are the rankings and bib-holders in various overall competitions.

On Sunday, Vasaloppet saw Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, shining and winning the 99th edition of Vasaloppet, the eleventh event of Ski Classics and third Grand Classics Season XIV.

CHAMPION COMPETITION

When we look at the Ski Classics general classification after Vasaloppet, the Yellow Champion Bib Competition belongs to Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and the new leader Ida Dahl, Team Engcon.

In the men’s battle for overall, the Yellow bib rests on Emil Persson’s shoulders. Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the Champion competition with an unbeatable margin of 945 points over the second place after his win at Vasaloppet and now has 2220 points.

Winning Vasaloppet, his 9th win of the season, Persson added 300 points to his Champion competition standings. With just three Pro Tour events left, he has already secured the overall victory of Ski Classics Season XIV. 

Second place overall is now Max Novak, Team Aker Dæhlie, with 1275 points, closely followed by Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, with 1272 points.

In the women’s overall, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, is in the lead again with a total of 1850 points, followed by Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, with 1825 and only 25 points behind the leader. 

Third place overall is the Vasaloppet winner Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, with 1653 points.

SPRINT COMPETITION

After the two Sprint checkpoints this weekend at Vasaloppet, Alfred Buskqvist, Team Ramudden, carries the Green bib of the men’s Sprint competition with 246 points.

Vebjørn Moen, Team Aker Dæhlie, is the second place with 208 points, and Lorenzo Busin, Team Internorm Alpenplus Trentino, keeps the third position with 114 points.

After Vasaloppet, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, keeps the Green bib with 190 points. Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ragde Charge, is back in second place with 187 points, and Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, dropped to third place with 185 points. 

CLIMB COMPETITION

After the only Climb checkpoint this weekend at Vasaloppet, Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 202 points, and Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, with 299 points, are carrying the bib in the Climb Competition.

In the men’s side, Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the Climb competition with 202 points. Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, is in second place with 152 points, followed by Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, in third place, with 117 points.

In the women’s Climb competition, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, leads with 299 points. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, is in second place with 181 points, followed now by Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, in third with 138 points.

YOUTH COMPETITION

The Pink bibs in the Youth Competition are resting on the shoulders of Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, and Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 1272 and 1301 points, respectively.

Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, is leading with 1272 points. Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, is the new second place with 1074 points, and Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, with 972 points, is in third place for the Youth bib overall. 

Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, is leading with 1301 points. Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, is in second place with 774 points, followed by Hanna Lodin, Ski Team Göhlins, in third place for the Pink bib with 696 points.

PRO TEAM COMPETITION

Lager 157 Ski Team and Team Ramudden are tied, leading the Pro Team Competition with 1800 points.

Team Aker Dæhlie sits in third place overall with 1730 points after Vasaloppet. 

GRAND CLASSICS

The Grand Classics events are the four largest and most prestigious in Ski Classics: Marcialonga, Jizerská50, Vasaloppet, and Birkebeinerrennet.

After Vasaloppet, Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, leads the men’s Grand Classics overall with 735 points. In second place is Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 720 points, followed now by Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, in third place with 584 points.

In the women’s competition, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, leads with 795 points. Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, follows in second place with 600 points. Jenny Larsson, Team Ragde Charge, with 533 points, is in third position.
