Silly Season: Sørum Gangsø and Angelsiöö Renew With Team Næringsbanken

In a post on social media, Team Næringsbanken announced that Marie Renée Sørum Gangsø and Julia Angelsiöö renewed their contracts for the 2022/2023 Ski Classics season. 

Marie Renée Sørum Gangsø and Julia Angelsiöö have both signed for the 2022/23 season for Team Næringsbanken@mariegangso achieved two top 11 places last season (Ylläs-Levi and La Diagonela) and a strong 12th place in Marcialonga. @juliaangelsioo got 14th place as the best position (Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge). Together with @katimiiakristiina, @teamnaeringsbanken will have one of the best women’s teams in Ski Classics,” says the post on Instagram.

The 29-year-old Marie Renée Sørum Gangsø is a Norwegian long-distance skier and ended Ski Classics Season XII in the 20th position in the Champion competition. Sørum Gangsø has 31 Pro Tour, and 1 Ski Classics Challengers starts under her belt. Jizerská Padesatká (2019) is her best Pro Tour race, where she finished in the 10th position.

Julia Angelsiöö, on the other hand, is a 27-year-old Swedish long-distance skier who ended Season XII in the 15th position in the Champion competition and 2nd in the Youth bib overall. With 33 Pro Tour and 3 Ski Classics Challengers starts, her best Pro Tour placement was 14th at Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge this season.
