Recreational Skiers Joined Team Engcon At A Training Camp

Last weekend, Team Engcon’s Ski Classics skiers finished their training camp in Skåne, Sweden. On the last days of the camp, recreational skiers and partners had the opportunity to join the training sessions.

During the weekend, recreational skiers had the opportunity to join Team Engcon's professional skiers.

“A fun concept that worked out very well,” says Team Engcon’s Pro Team Director Jerry Ahrlin.

Preparations for the Ski Classics Season XIV are in full swing. During the past week, several Swedish Pro Teams have been on training camps in Skåne, Sweden.

One of the Pro Teams was Team Engcon:

“We had a very good camp, and the whole team is in good spirits. It feels like we are where we want to be for the season, which is now seriously approaching,” says Pro Team Director Jerry Ahrlin.

During the last three days of the camp, the opportunity was opened for recreational skiers to join the training camp:

“There were about 20 people who took that chance. And it worked very well to combine and run at least one session together. Our elite skiers were out training for four hours, and those at the camp did about two and a half hours. Many of the participants aim for Vasaloppet. Then Helsingborg Skidklubb was involved as they had this as part of their coaching training,” says Ahrlin and continues:

“Also, our sponsors were there, which was an excellent opportunity to meet before the season. It feels important to work and broaden skiing. During the last session, the elite skiers were there for a small part of the session, then would go home. But they rode along and cheered on the participants during parts of their training session, and it was very much appreciated,” says Ahrlin.
