Pro Team ED System Silvini Completed Another Successful Training Camp

by Leandro Lutz • 30.08.2022
Last week, in Jablonec nad Nisou in the Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic, the eD system Silvini Team completed the second Pro Team’s training camp ahead of the winter season.

“We have planned a system of special training camps throughout the year, and we are gradually moving towards a clear goal – to achieve better results in the winter at Ski Classics races. This time we focused the whole camp mainly on rollerskis, and it was primarily intended for the skiers of the race team, who other members joined for individual training sessions,” says the Pro Team Director Marek Pazdeský in a press release.

The first training session of the day was on Thursday, with three long hill climbs from Jablonec up to Bedřichov and three speed and endurance sections. The evening was followed by a technique analysis and discussion on how to improve.

On Friday, the program was a morning run with poles for two hours in the vicinity of Černá Studnice, which was finished with swimming at the Jablonec dam. In the afternoon, it was time for training through Černá Studnica, Zásada, Tanvald, Josefův Důl, and Bedřichov, which ended in about 70km in the hills.

On Saturday, part of the team ran at the Jizera 50 running event (11km – 2nd Šárka Vyštejnová, 23km – 6th Míša Maděrová, and 50km – 3rd Milan Kohout), and the remaining members of the team had a hard training on rollerskis from Liberec to Bedřichov via Bílá Kuchyně. In the afternoon, most athletes went for jogging or a bike ride and a swim again, with a barbecue and team building in the evening.

Sunday brought slightly rainy weather, but that didn’t stop the Pro Team from the final long training session in the Turnov region, where several beautiful side roads are perfect for rollerskiing. The group ended up rollerskiing for over 4.5 hours, despite the slightly inclement weather and a sometimes strong headwind, and skied almost 90km, climbing 1,250 vertical meters.

“So, in 4 days in the Jizera Mountains, we skied about 280km on rollerskis, ran 20km, and swam 1km. Now we are preparing again and in September we are waiting for another training camp in the vicinity of Bedřichov with the fact that at the end of September our skiers will go to the Czech Championship on rollerskis from Jablonec to Královka. At the beginning of October, we are preparing for the peak of the summer season – our Ski Classics Challengers event – and the Czech Championship at the 55km rollerski race Lipnolopet, which will take place on October 8 in Lipno,” concludes Marek Pazdeský.

Lipnolopet is also part of the EDS Skiroll Classics series, organized by the Pro Team eD system Silvini team. Together, they organize seven rollerski events, with Lipnolopet being the grand finale and part of the Ski Classics Challengers calendar.
