OnePartnerGroup Ski Marathon Östersund This Sunday

by Leandro Lutz • 12.01.2022
A new weekend is approaching with three Visma Ski Classics events. OnePartnerGroup Ski Marathon Östersund and La Venosta Open as Challengers and La Venosta Time Trial as a Pro Tour event.

On Sunday, January 16, is time for the OnePartnerGroup Ski Marathon Östersund. The 42km long-distance skiing Visma Ski Classics Challengers race starts and finishes at Östersund Ski Stadium.

The mass-start event is carried out in classic style and also offers shorter distances like 19km, 10km, and 5km. The longer distances, 42 and 19km are seeding races for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan.

The Challengers event is planned to start with a master lap of about 3km and thereafter 2 laps on a 19km loop, in a total of 42km.

According to the Organizing Committee, a change in the racecourse and distance might be done, depending on the current snow situation.

OnePartnerGroup Ski Marathon Östersund program, start lists, live results, and final standings can be followed here when available.

Participants of the 42km classic event on Sunday collect points for their SC Ranking, as seen on MyPages.
