Marcialonga in Italy is one of the most popular and renowned cross-country ski events in the world. The race was established in 1971 when some innovative Italians decided to create their own version of the world famous Vasaloppet.
With its magical atmosphere, finely honed organization and beautiful surroundings the 70-kilometer course attracts thousands of skiers every year.

The race starts in Moena, Val di Fassa, and finishes on the main street of Cavalese, Val di Fiemme, passing through 13 villages and thousands of cheering spectators. The course also passes the prominent ski jumps in Predazzo and goes through the famous Nordic ski arena in Tesero.

The course has two sprint points, Canazei after 18 km and Predazzo ski jump stadium after 46 km. The climb point is time up Cascata due to changed course.
