It was an exciting sprint for the victory in Tjejvasan. Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, won the race for the first time and was one foot ahead of Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team. Linn Sömskar, Team Nordic Athlete, was third.
“I felt that I was first even though Britta came fast the last meters. It was a really fun race with lots of girls who really wanted to go fast,” says Lina Korsgren.

At the end of the race, the leading group was six skiers when they entered Moraparken and the last kilometers. Lina Korsgren, Britta Johansson Norgren and Linn Sömskar was together with Ida Dahl and Jenny Larsson, Team Ramudden and Laila Kveli, Team Engcon.

This year the finish was situated just after “Auklandbacken” and Korsgren, and Johansson Norgren passed the hill, side by side. Lina took the victory just one foot ahead of Britta.

“It’s very fun with races like this where you really go for it all the way, with small breakaways here and there. At the same time, you have to feel that you have energy left for a sprint,” says Korsgren.

Britta Johansson Norgren showed that she is back in top shape after her frostbite in January.

“I’m so happy that I could have this feeling today. I felt early on that it was between Lina and me today. It was a little hard to know what to do. If I were to get away with Lina, I would have to do the job as she had Ida and Jenny behind. It was a fun race with a bit of a tactic,” says Johansson Norgren.

Linn Sömskar crossed the finish line four seconds behind Korsgren and Johansson Norgren in third place. Laila Kveli was fourth, one second behind Sömskar. Jenny Larsson and Ida Dahl were ten seconds behind Korsgren in fifth and sixth place.
