Ida Dahl and Petter Stakston Winners of Klarälvsloppet

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Klarälvsloppet, took place this Sunday with a 90km rollerski race in classic technique in Karlstad, Sweden.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Klarälvsloppet, took place this Sunday with a 90km rollerski race in classic technique in Karlstad, Sweden.

With a strong start list and a day full of action with wet conditions, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, and Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, win the race with solid performances.

In the women’s competition, the winner was Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, with a total time of 3:45:28.1, winning solo even with problems with her poles during the race. 

Silje Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, finished in second place, with a time of 3:49:25.3, followed by Hedda Bängman, Team Nordic Expérience Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite, with a time of 3:56:13.1 and completing the podium in the third position.

Klarälvsloppet – Top 3 Women

  1. Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, 3:45:28.1
  2. Silje Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, +3:57.2
  3. Hedda Bängman, Team Nordic Expérience Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite, +10:45.0

On the men’s side, a group of 10 strong athletes was formed earlier in the race, but at the end, Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, won solo and completed the 90km race in a time of 3:19:33.3. 

In a close sprint finish for the remaining podium spots, Stian Berg, Team Kaffebryggeriet, finished in second place, with a total time of 3:20:35.4, followed by Stian Hoelgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie, completing the podium in the third position and with a time of 3:20:36.1.

  2. Stian Berg, Team Kaffebryggeriet, +1:02.1

As Klarälvsloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
