HANNA FALK AIMS TO BE ON THE PODIUM THIS WINTER
Hanna Falk, Lager 157 Ski Team, switched from traditional skiing, and from sprint in particular, to long distance skiing after last winter. She joined her new team and started to train hard for long distance skiing. She performed well in some roller-ski races this summer, of which a good proof is her victory at Klarälvsloppet. She is now is ready to fight tooth and nail for podium places in every race.
In an interview with SVT Sport, the Swedish National Television, she said that she believes in her chances to get podium places and even victories in Season XII.
“It’s about getting a good basic form and then being able to attack in certain individual races,” Falk says in that interview.
The roller-ski races boosted her confidence and gave her right signals.
“I managed to have some good races there. It was important to feel that I had done the right things and feel that I was on the right track training-wise. With my teammates Britta Johansson Norgren and Thea Krokan Murud, I can have quality sessions every time and compare myself to them.”
During her career she has struggled with back problems for long periods, but so far, her back is fine for double-poling and long distances.
“It’s definitely better now, but I also spend a lot of time outside of my regular training regime in order to keep my back in shape.”
Hanna also admitted in the interview that she is thrilled about long distance skiing and the new challenges that await her.
