Haakon Holden And Sigrid Nordgården Winners At Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet, a Ski Classics Challengers event, took place today with a 45km long-distance race in classic technique in Kvam, Norway.

After a long day full of action, the great winners of the Ski Classics Challengers event were Haakon Holden, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso/Bjerke IL, and Sigrid Nordgården, Lillehammer.

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet – Men’s Race

The action in the men’s event was intense until the final meters of the race. 

With a total time of 2:12:12.6, Haakon Holden, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso/Bjerke IL, became the winner, followed by Henrik Haug, Lyn Ski, in second place, and Magnus Bleken, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso/Rudsbygd IL, in third place.

  1. Haakon Holden, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso/Bjerke IL, 2:12:12.6
  2. Henrik Sørlie Haug, Lyn Ski, +11.9
  3. Magnus Bleken, Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso/Rudsbygd IL, +1:09.7

Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet – Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the competition was also with plenty of action. Sigrid Nordgården, Lillehammer, completed the race in 2:37:05.8, giving no chance to the rest of the field.

Second place went to Ine Løvlien, Team Northug Crucible/Lillehammer Skiklub, with Pernille Gullikstad, Søre Ål Il, completing the podium in third place.

  1. Sigrid Nordgården, Lillehammer, 2:37:05.8
  2. Ine Løvlien, Team Northug Crucible/Lillehammer Skiklub, +9:39.6
  3. Pernille Gullikstad, Søre Ål Il, +11:35.0

As Furusjøen Rundt-Rennet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
