Saturday’s Vålådalsrennet can be an exciting battle between Visma Ski Classics Pro Team Athletes and some athletes who usually compete in the World Cup.

Who will be the strongest between Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, with the yellow bib, and World Championship medalist Ebba Andersson who strengthens Lager 157 Ski Team?
Will the battle for the yellow bib between Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway be affected by world cup skiers like Jens Burman and Andrew Musgrave, who strengthen Team Koteng and William Poromaa, who joins Team Ragde Eiendom?

At Vasaloppet, Lina Korsgren got a new opponent in Marit Bjørgen, Team Ragde Eiendom. Tomorrow, two other new athletes appear. Ebba Andersson, Lager 157 Ski Team and Emma Ribom, Team Ragde Eiendom.

“It’s positive, in the same way as we had Björgen to fight against at Vasaloppet. It’s great that they come and compete against us,” says Lina Korsgren.

Andersson and Ribom will probably do the race with kick wax.

“I’m very excited to see how it will turn out depending on what you choose. I know that I will double pole in any case. We’ll see what works best,” says Korsgren.

“I follow Visma Ski Classics closely and know how strong the Pro Team girls are. Even though I keep a high level in the World Cup, this is something else. I will do my best, but I am humble before the task, says Ebba Andersson.

“It depends on the conditions if I race with kick wax, but it would certainly be interesting to see what I could do on the hilly course if I use the diagonal and the other double pole,” says Andersson.

Emil Persson is curious about what Burman, Musgrave, and Poromaa will do.

“It will be interesting to see if they will go with kick wax or not. It’s something we talked about a lot. Will they get a gap in the climbs? Can they keep up with us on the flatter parts of the course? It will be an exciting fight,” says Emil Persson.

“I think Burman and Poromaa will use kick wax, but Musgrave is strong at double poling, so he will probably do like us,” Persson continues.
