Last winter, the Swedish skier came home from the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) with two gold medals. Now, she is joining Team Eksjöhus Academy.

Mira Göransson, the 17-year-old skiing talent from Borås, Sweden, is joining the recently launched Team Eksjöhus Academy, where selected young skiers who focus on traditional cross-country skiing will also have the opportunity to become part of the long-distance activities.

The Pro Team previously announced Anton Grahn, Evelina Crusell, and Joel Andersson as members; now, Mira Göransson is also joining the group.

In a press release, Mira talks about her joy in being part of Team Eksjöhus Academy.

“I am super happy and grateful to be part of Team Eksjöhus Academy! Long-distance skiing has always been something that has interested me and which I have seen as exciting to try,” and continues:

“My biggest focus will continue to be on traditional (cross-country skiing), but I am always open to new challenges, and with Team Eksjöhus behind me, I think it will be a very fun journey.”

Pro Team Director Espen Träldal talks about Team Eksjöhus Academy and having Mira on the team:

“We feel that we have a lot to offer as they can be part of a long-distance team with the training philosophy and team dynamics that are there. We also have a lot of knowledge and a very good service team. They get a sense of belonging that is important and tools that enable them to become even better skiers,” says Espen and concludes:

“After her performances this winter, we think that Mira is one of Sweden’s most interesting talents. Really fun that such a talented girl wants to join and develop together with us!”
