A new weekend is approaching with three Ski Classics Challengers events. Wadköpingsloppet in Sweden, König Ludwig Lauf in Germany, and Marcia Gran Paradiso in Italy. Get to know the details of Wadköpingsloppet.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Wadköpingsloppet is a 40km long-distance race in classic technique this Sunday, February 5, in Örebro, Sweden.

Wadköpingsloppet has long-lasting traditions but developed into a modern classic race over the past years. The event is a perfect race for those who want to prepare for Vasaloppet, as the race is an official seeding event for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan.

The cross-country skiing arena is located in Ånnaboda, 15km outside Örebro, and easily accessed from most mid-Sweden places. The ‘original’ track runs in a scenic undulating forest landscape. There are also several options if needed to adapt to weather conditions.

According to the Organizing Committee, “due to the prevailing snow conditions, there will be an approximately 4km lap track on artificial snow. And a total of 5 or 10 laps (depending on the race distance).”
