Team Ramudden’s Alfred Buskqvist chose to take a proper ski session when the possibility of cross-country skiing outdoors was available again.

He started with two hours in classic style, continued with another two hours of double poling, and rounded off the day with three hours of skating.

After just over seven hours of skiing (7 hours and 19 minutes, to be exact) and 131 kilometers (131.22 km), he felt pleased with the training day.

“I had decided beforehand to ski for a long time if it felt good. And it was so nice, and I couldn’t help myself. I mean; bright sun, no wind, and minus degrees at night, so it was very easy,” Alfred Buskqvist says langd.se

What was it like to ski outdoors again?

“Fantastic. You forget how fun it is to ski. As an old Tjörnbo resident, you’re not used to that if you say so,” laughs Buskqvist.

“They have created a nice loop. Often, when you go on ‘early snow loops,’ they are tough. But here, there were some altitude meters but skiable slopes, which means it was possible to ski A1 (the average speed during the day was 3:21min/km). But as I said, it was easy,” says Buskqvist, who will go to Tenerife on Wednesday for a two-week training camp with Team Ramudden.
